This not too old boy was carved in 1970 (I might have been 3?) from one solid piece of what I can tell is white pine by C. M. Krumm?(G. M. Kromm?) He was once (I think) fully velveted with what looks like wool in the macro pix. Maybe his 'fur' were once dyed black? I have found hair and dust attached spanning what I guess are the decades of this fellas life. (One could have fun with Ancestry.com's dna profiles? LOL) Looks to me like something that my have been tourist trap fodder during the heyday of touring the national parks in the Eastern U.S.
I purchased from a young lady in West Virginia (probably paid too much but I liked it!) who said she purchased it from a gentleman who got it in a storage locker that he had purchased. Any info or input appreciated~
