I really Love these boots! But I was wondering if someone can help me identify the original boot maker. I purchased the boots in Sante Fe , New Mexico several years ago at a flea Market. The man that sold them to me told me who made them, but I can not remember who he said. He also told me that it was the original boot maker who made these for himself? He told me they were expensive and well made boots, inside on the sole you can see where the boot maker tacked the soles every 1/8 of an inch and that was considered a well made boot. I have done some of my own research and found that they might have been made by Charley someone who was quite a character. The outside of the boot on both sides has a stitched "S" and on the other side is a "J" Does anyone know what that means? I would really love to know the history of my boots and I would greatly appreciate any information on them. The last photo has a set of numbers as well, Does that mean anything?
Thank You,
Brenda
