Grace Hudson Museum, Pomo Indian print

Hello, Grace Hudson 1865-1937, painted many paintings of the Pomo Indians. I worked at the Psychiatric Hosp. in Ukiah Ca. with the grand daughter of a Pomo Indian woman who made these baskets. Sandy and I worked over the years on P.M. and night shifts, She showed me many baskets she had and donated many to the Museum. I got to know many Pomo Indians, Unfortunately, many I or we admitted to the Hosp. Later the Indians opened a Casino, good or bad?, I do not know. Problems with the tribe and Government, well that was in the past. It is a beautiful Museum! Worth visiting! toracat
