This is a reprinted copy of the first issue (September, 1949) of Motor Trend Magazine which was a supplement to the 1999 50th Anniversary Collector Edition. The supplement was reprinted in its entirety, including the ads, and was only 32 pages long at that time. Original cost was 25¢ per copy.
The featured vehicle was a customized sports car built by Kurtis-Kraft and the issue also covered the International Sports Car Show held in Oakland, Calif., the Bridgehampton (NY) Road Race, roadsters, European sports cars, future design trends, and the back cover featured an advertisement for the 1949 model Jaguar XK-120.
- All photos were black and white with exception of the brown and white cover.
