Hi! Vincent here, Karen's son.
I often look at GI Joes on CW and love Fort Apache's posts.
I'm super excited about my first GI Joe set. The set was made in 2002 by Hasbro (of course) and was a remake of the original set called "The Search for the Abominable Snowman" from 1973. This one is called "Search for the Yeti".
I also like this set because of my love for Yeti. The set includes: A GI Joe, large plush poseable Yeti, 1 sniper rifle, 1 snow pick, 1 camera and 1 pair of crampons for the Joe's boots.
This was a birthday gift from my family, and now I'm saving to buy more. They cost a lot to get to Australia!
I hope you enjoy this set as much as me, and if you don't, Yeti will be coming your way!
So cool Vincent, what a great gift! I love it! Hope you save up enough to get more. Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Vincent!!! Enjoy your New gift -- and many, many, more like this!!
Thank you very much pops52 and antiquerose, it really means a lot to me!
I used to have an original 1964 GI Joe with the foot locker when I was your age Vincent. Man I wish I still had him now. He would be worth a fortune. Take good care of yours and you'll be glad you did. Happy Birthday too !
Here's the one I used to have :

Very cool Vincent!! I can still remember my first G.I. Joe in 1970.
I love the Yeti... He is so cute.
We call them Bigfoot or Sasquatch here:

Will we ever find one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYz9L_jl-0Q
very very cool!!!!
I totally love it!!!
It's almost like something off those amazing movies from the 50s!!!!
Thanks Vincent I'm glad you kept the box & keep it all together for when you get older. I'm glad this one was a gift & it's good to hear you are saving for your next one. By the way sometimes the boxes can be worth more then what is inside depends how many made & the condition. If you can keep it all together with all the pieces you never know what it will be worth when you get older & if you can keep it this way for when you have kids then the ski could be the limit. There shouldn't be to many around when you have kids if it's not pulling a bit of money when you grow up. Have a happy day
That's a great set. Much better than the tiny Abominable Snowman from the 73 set. It was the pygmy gorilla molded in white. Hope you can acquire more sets soon and I look forward to seeing them.
antiquerose Bigfoot/Saquatch and the Abominable Snowman are different creatures. The Snowman/Yeti is white and lives in the high mountains and Big Foot is a brown/orange color and lives in lower elevations. There is a search for Sasquatch set......

It is expensive to say the least.

I do not think I will see either....LOL
Happy birthday Vincent!

Enjoy your gift first ;-)
Tank you every one for your great comments!!!!
From Vincent.
My gosh!!! I REALLY REALLY love this! I would become a child all over again if you placed this in front of me! That happy face on Vincent says it all! This made me smile...thank you! Oh, and Happy Belated Birthday Vincent! I was tempted to say that I did not like it so that Yeti WOULD come my way!!!
Thanks everyone, it really means a lot to me.
From Vincent.
