Known as 'Thousand Windows", this elegant bowl has something special; optical illusion. When looking through one of the 30 concave lenses you will see an almost endless multiplication of windows.... so cool!
By Simon Gate from Orrefors, Sweden.

    For hallmark information:
    http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass%20notes/markn-r.htm

This gorgeous lead crystal bowl weighs approximately 9.25 pounds and measures:
    9.33" wide
    5.5" high
    4" pedestal width
    .75" pedestal height
    .5" bowl wall

Recently found in a treasure trove of containers I learned it has been in our family for years, and years, but no one seems to know just how many.

I am learning about this beautiful bowl myself. I found mine at Goodwill a few years ago, but I had no idea who made it...there isn't any signature or numbers on it anywhere. I just loved it because it was so unusual. I got it out the other day, thinking I might sell it on ebay, but when I finally was able to identify it, and the more I look at it, I've decided to keep it awhile. Since it is not signed, I wonder if it is a "second"?

      Hi jitterbug1126 -
Funny you mention a piece with no signature or numbers. I recently found a beautiful bowl in a "junk shop" that does have "orrefors" etched, but that is all. I hope to find more info on pieces like those like ours.

      have a great weekend!
