I really wanted to do these pieces separately when I first posted them with nice closeups, but the four picture limit wasn't enough with the Sierndorf bowl. So I found these great pictures online while doing my research. Nice professional photos that show them at their best. The flamingos are on a German ebay auction (still running) and they took 12 pictures. Thank you AntikDesign. Hope you don't mind. They show the detail and wonderful colors of this piece. The Borzoi was just a grab from the image gallery online. Likewise a great photo of this elegant Russian Wolf Hound. They are all packed away safely waiting for a proper display. Oh, did I mention I have cats.....cats and flamingos don't mix. -Mike-

Sure, internet pics are way more detailed ;-) your figurines are gorgeous!
Lol for cats don't mix with flamingos! So true with heavy wagging tailed dogs too :-D

Thanks Kyra :).....Luckily one cat is too fat to jump anywhere and the other is too old. The dog, she's too short...lol. Finding nice pictures of your exact piece online is great and a rare occurrence, but I know how touchy some people can get about their online photos. Frankly I never understood that it is the internet after all. It's basically there forever. I see my pictures from CW all the time in the image galleries. If they help someone else that's fine by me. I don't even want the credit.

Oh I've been tempted Ken. I look at cameras all the time. If I'd sell some of these things ...OK I never would...lol. One of my friends here on CW did send me one he found but it's just old enough that the software isn't compatible anymore with Windows 7. Sorry, but XP was the bomb.Who knows what 10 will be like. I wish I could find something that takes nice clear closeups of tiny things like marks and labels. My friend had his brand new phone with a 13 megapixel camera and even that was not much better. So what does everyone use anyway??

These are very beautiful... I know what you mean about the pictures... I had such a hard time photographing my Ertes...

I use a simple HP - M537 that I bought about 7 years ago. I love it. Does the purpose for me. I do not think they make them anymore, but has a large back screen, a close-up lens......and I like the pics it gives me. A person does not have to spend oodles on a Camera to get decent pics.

~ My boyfriend wants to buy me a New camera - but not sure - as I love my old camera......LOL.

They really are wonderful pieces Mike. The flamingos are just so well posed and detailed. Ditto the dog too really! There is absolutely no way I would find anything like this in my local op shop.

I've got a Canon EOS that I use and just as well coz it's auto setting is way any smarter then me!

Thanks Karen :)....I think I have a Canon Pro Shot "A"...something that Tony here on CW sent me. I'll have to study that a bit again and see if I can get the interface down with the computer now that I've upgraded to 7 after they dumped XP. I'm just hooked on the plug and play simplicity of my little LG phone's camera.
Thanks for the "Loves" and comments everyone and your camera information. Now I have an idea of what to look for . Plenty of cameras on the shelves for a few dollars at most places just have to pick a good one. :) -Mike-
