vintagelamp you have so many fabulous Sherlock Holmes collectibles, I was wondering do you have a special room or large display cabinets to keep them in. What an awesome hobby, I love detectives & Sherlock of course was the top man of the genre, I loved Basil R. in the part but will have to check out Jeremy B. on dvd, you have sparked my interest :)

I just moved into an old farmhouse and have a whole room devoted to Sherlock. I have a fireplace with the mirror that you see on the mantle on the Jeremy Brett version and even a Persian slipper filled with tobacco. Sherlock paintings/pictures etc. cover the walls. I really hit the big time when I found the Sherlock fan's estate auction and I am still finding thing that she owned. Give Jeremy a try. I love "The Second Stain" "The Empty House" "The Speckled Band" "The Devil's Foot" the best. In the "Speckled Band" there is a character jug of Bacchus that I searched high and low for until I found one (pretty rare). It is on the mantle in the villain's house. I don't think that I have stored anything in a drawer :). Let me know what you think of the granada series.
Thank you so much vlamp for your great recommendations, I have located a dvd with three of the four Sherlock with Jeremy Brett episodes you mentioned & will be ordering it soon, husband enjoys watching detective shows with me so I'm sure we'll love them. Your Sherlock room sounds fabulous!!
