well today we decided to have a look under the calendar that was used as a picture in an old picture frame we had. the back of the frame was timber slats which told us it had a little age to it. we didn't know it was a calendar until we removed it and it had a date of 1932.. when we removed the calendar we found this print under it. written in German and it has what looks like canvas but I am sure now it is just the marks from the printing process. if anyone can tell us what it says it would be great. as always my wife and I start our theories on why, ok here goes. in the late 1930's the owner didn't want to have a German art on the wall and hid it beneath an old calendar. that's my theory anyway.
    have a great day all.

The top line basically says "Household Virtues" or "Virtues of the Home"
