I don't know much about this kind of thing, but i was told a long time ago to keep my eyes peeled for glass which is cut vs. pressed. This seems to be cut. i picked it up for about $5 at Goodwill the other day. can anyone tell me anything about it? age? quality? etc...
BEAUTIFUL!!!
What a gorgeous dish you have there, ho2cultcha, wow, that is dazzling!!
Gorgeous, nice post, I love it

Eapg brilliant cut glass cheese\butter dish circa 1900s. Patterns is hard to see but beautiful piece.
Love the colors it throws off. Very pretty. I find it hard distinguishing glass also. There are just so many different kinds...
thank you SEAN68, Katherinescollections, Alan2310, robin56, and shareurpassion! i went back today and they had quite a few more pieces of the same cut glass. i went to buy a punchbowl w/ the same pattern and i was at the register, when i noticed there was a point broken off, so i put it back.
Your very welcome ho2!!
is this a cheese dish and dome or a butter dome? i think it may be Libbey.
the images look like molded design with gray cut, which is often an indication of modern European lead glass.
thank you TallCakes. these pieces are pretty old, i'm certain. they don't feel like molded glass, and you can feel the sharp edges. i'm not sure i understand what gray cut glass is and i googled it but it showed very different images.
Very fancy:)
