This is an unknown "War Veteran" pin I picked up several years ago, just came across it cleaning up my "treasures"... It measures 1 1/2 inches long by 5/8 inches at the round. The scene depicts a sheaf of wheat, barrels, boxes and a sailing ship in the background. The Latin inscription which I cannot get a good read on reads "ILIUM FUIT TROJA EST". Any help with this will be appreciated
ILIUM FUIT TROJA EST simply means in Latin "Troy was, Troy is"
Thanks, but wonder what that signifies and what war this pin is from?
