Received this steel military helmet from the deceased owner's wife with no info provided about it. Internet searches have provided me nothing. No stampings are visible in or on the helmet. Seeking any help in determining its origin. Thanks.

The liner has that German style, but many countries also had that style. Be interested in what our experts com up with.

most definately an early example so pre ww2 ,it looks to have had a repaint, Pre-war colors are a light green, and then just before ww2 they were painted a darker colour ,have a look on the inside shell at the rear rim there should be a letter P followed by a number ,P is for the Pignone factory and the lower the number following the earlier the shell ,they can also stamped BB which is another early war maker and again follwed by a batch number hope this helps ,regards james

Not an expert by any means, but the helmets resembles a Polish or Itralian design.
