this ring was sold to me as being made of 8k gold. maybe they meant 18k ? I won it on an online auction. It is rose gold. The pearls are 4mm, and the cushion cut diamond is a little bit over 4mm. It is marked inside the band with, I believe an A and 4.

In France this shape of ring is called "duchesse" but when googling you find mainly duchess Camilla, lol!

Have you had it appraised ? Do you wear it ? Try a magnet first. U know that right ! If it sticks then it's not gold but if it does then definitely have it appraised ! Stay away from pawn shops !
Correction. ! If it magnetizes then it's not gold and visa versa ! Chances are greater of it to being the real thing. But then not all metal is magnetic too so don't be fooled Celery bout that ! :..:"

i was unable to see the ring in person, because i got this from an online auction. i probably paid more than i should have, $426, but i don't regret it. it was listed as an 8 karat gold ring with pearls and rough-cut diamonds. they list every item as being tested for gold content and genuine diamonds. the pearls are 4mm, and the diamond is a cushion cut at a little over 4mm. i have not had it appraised. i have checked the gold with a magnet. it is non magnetic. i have done the tooth test with the pearls. i believe them to be genuine. they have a gritty texture when i rubbed them against my teeth. the gold is rose gold. i am wearing it now. i don't wear it every day because i am worried about damaging the pearls or losing one of the side diamonds. i work in a factory, but i wear gloves, but i still worry about this one.i probably won't have it appraised, they charge too much to do that. i am a divorced mother of a 6 year old little girl. i don't have a lot of money, but occaisionally i will get something nice for myself. my collection is pretty small, but i have so much love and appreciation for antique jewelry. especially rings! thank you all for the advice/ love.
