I picked up this Zippo at an estate sale in this box. I know Zippos were made in Bedford PA but have not seen this particular style of box before. Just wanted to know if it would go with the lighter and what period the box is from. (I can use the date code for the lighter.

Zippos are made in Bradford, PA - Bedford was a British maker, the box does not belong to the lighter - Your Zippo is dated as a 1963 issue on the bottom.

Boy I feel stupid. You can see the difference in the pictures. Thanks for straightening me out.

The only thing I could find out on the business that is stamped on the lighter is that it was founded in 1948 - so if your lighter is 1963, it was probably a company 25th anniversary promotion.
