I found this at an estate sale and it looked Fenton to me. But I have only found 1 picture of another one, I have found similar but not this exact piece. It is 12 inches tall, and looks like Pink Overlay. Can anyone tell me anything about this beautiful piece.

    Thank you for you help

From what I've seen on these, the pontil scar isn't consistent with Fenton Glass.

Hi Tallcakes. What is a pontil scar?? I have never heard of it before. would you happen to have any idea who the maker may be if it's not Fenton? Thank you again for your help.

show us a pic of the bottom; the pontil scar is the mark left where the glass pontil was broken off. Sorry but no idea on maker.

I don't think it is fenton. The quality is not what produce in their pink overlays. It maybe a pearlized milk glass vase or even a copy of fenton's ruffled edge patterns. Without a pic of the bottom, no one can really tell.

Here is the bottom. hopefully someone can give me a hint as to where else to look. Thank you again

Try running your finger around the bottom and on the base of the vase. If it is fenton a name should be there. I said earlier I don't think it is fenton, but I am human and can be wrong. All examples of pink overlay I find re made by fenton. Sorry about not including this earlier. Beautiful vase :)!

the only one I can find that did pink overlay is Fenton also but I am a rookie as glass still. I will check the bottom again For a Fenton mark. It is a beauty of a piece Fenton or not And I am glad to have found it. Thank You

really doubtful this is Fenton considering the pontil scar. it could be old or newer. only able to locate another this color, one green and one mention of blue, and no one knew the ID.

Tallcakes can you post the link to the picture of the green one. I can't seem to find it. Thank you for all your help.

I didn't bookmark that one; if I do run across it again I'll post a link.

found it listed as 'green ruffled cased glass vase'; no consensus on a maker:

Any info on this vase would be great!
I have this in a light green - like a mint green.
It looks like a white vase that's been dipped in green uranium glass, as all around the base edge glows in the sun.
I seen another one on ebay, approx. 6 yrs ago (I actually printed it off & saved it; it still sits inside my vase), it was the same as mine, but 1/2 the size; it sold for $670.00.

sheree57, would be nice to see yours, and also the eBay listing you printed.

katherinescollections - I'm sorry, but for some reason I can't upload any pics to here. I'm having major issues with my email program at the moment.
As soon as these issues are repaired, I'll endeavour to send you some pics.
      Kind regards,
      Sheree.

katherinescollections - I have managed to post some pics for you to see my vase. I never knew how to post them on this thread, so I started another thread.
This is listed as "Lovely Green Glass Vase" - take a look at my one & also the pics of the one I mentioned was listed on ebay. My apologies too! The one on ebay sold for $605.00 back in 2010, not $670.00 as I previously stated.

I have posted the vase on a couple other sites and no one seems to know who made this. It is a mystery

I have this vase in amber and I don't believe it is Fenton. I've collected glass for forty yrs. and have never seen this in any Fenton collections or books. I do think it is an old pattern of art glass and shows similarities to Fenton's melon vase. I have no idea of value.

Thank you for the information. I am still on the mission to solve who made this. I will try and move this to another glass catergory.
