Dutch silver large spoon

This is one of the oddest silver items we have. It is a silver Dutch spoon with a very intricate and complex motive. It was done with a mold but sure it is hand finished because of the sharpnes of the scrolls and flowers that make a sort of lace around the central medallion. The figural motifs of this and of the small medallion of the finial are reproductions of famous oil paintings. The biggest is from Rembrandt van Rijn- The Company of Frans Banning Cocq and Willem van Ruytenburch, known as the ‘Night Watch’ 1642 http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Rembrandt_van_Rijn-De_Nachtwacht-1642.jpg. I was pretty sure it was a souvenir spoon with only decorative purpose, but in a web shop I find one very similar that was described as “Dutch Figural Large Serving Spoon Open Work Floral Scroll 833 Standard Silver 1926” http://www.berrycom.com/?&categories=&category_id=6&items_p_page=80&product_id=3462. Our is older than this one and the handle is more elaborated. The pictures show three hallmarks: A hammer between two Z for Zaanlandse Zilversmederijen n.v./b.v., Haarlem & Amsterdam mark used 1920/1990 on the left, on the right the lion passant second standard minimum 0.833 http://www.925-1000.com/Fnetherlands_Date_Code.html and on the finial and L letter code for 1921. It weights 100g and is 23 cm long.
