Moonstonel…

This is one of my favourite pieces in the collectors house. I have no idea as to its origin or maker. All I know is it's very well made and case. The detailing is exquisite and I would love to know anything about it. Thanks for looking
It is so real, love it!
Fantastic I can see why you love it so much

You can also do this - it appears there are several shown, and some replicas;

I believe a lot of the ones that are sold as real are replicas also. The other one that is almost identical has some small birds feeding and possibly that one is real. The replicas first came on the market in 1984 or 85 and at that time they were all sold as real, but surprising I never ever found one that looked worn. The ones that I have bought of this one all had a brass plaque on front saying they were by D.H. Chiparus. I did sell one to my best friend for 200 and then he wanted me to sell it to get an engagement ring, luckily I got 750. for him when I resold it, so he got the ring. In the later eighties I saw a number of these violet patinated ones along with a lot of statues by the same maker selling at one auction. They were all new, with new patinas. Lately I saw a beautiful example sold by christies selling as an antique piece, but there was no loss at all to finish either, so I knew it was fake. Same as mine, but they would not listen to me. Fake or not fake its a very beautiful statue.
