Glass Ruby Red Kings Crown Thumbprint Snack Plates & Cups
    Another purchase from a GW.....8 pcs for $10.00 (4 plates & 4 cups)
Think these will look awesome for Christmas :)
Okay I'm no glass collector/expert but online info is sometimes confusing and misleading.
Don't know if they are Indiana or Tiffin.....all I know is I really like the Ruby Red color with the clear.

This pattern was introduced by Adams & Co. c1891 with the name 'Excelsior' or 'X. L. C. R.' The King's Crown aka came along years later. The pattern has been highly reproduced by US Glass (Tiffin), Indiana Glass (Tiara), Wright and probably others. Your ruby stained snack set was made by USG Tiffin in the 1950s.

Thank you very much for the information :)
      I greatly appreciate it :)
I never thought they would be that old.....someone has taken very good care of these pieces.

I have started collecting this pattern and I found this very useful. Particularly when reviewing ebay auctions. I had come across some flared cordials and fell in love! That started everything. There is a whole website dedicated to this at http://www.kingscrownglass.com Below is a link to a reference she made. She seems like she knows what she's talking about but I'm still reading through everything.

Melanie, Tiffin Museum has a website; they are also on Facebook; TallCakes as usual to the rescue; but if you need to know or see more, I found them most helpful -- I have a set of Tiffin stemware that I needed help with and they were most obliging.

p.s. this set is beautiful! I meant to include that in my comment!
