I would like to refinish this China cabinet, however my family thinks it is an antique and I will ruin it by refinishing it. It has a date stamp on the back and that's it. No name anywhere. There are 3 shelves with small hooks that go inside. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Right side up is excellent. I believe it is a curio cabinet. China cabinets of drawers.

I agree with fort that it's probably a curio (curiosity) cabinet, and my vote is also not to refinish it. I like the reflection... ;-)

I vote to leave it the way it is......has a history of patina on it. Do not refinish it
