LOUMANAL
(436 items)
I went to an Antique show in S. Florida on the weekend and bought some special Czech Art Glass items. The dealer invited me to see some other pieces that he had picked-up in California over 30-40 years ago. To my surprise, he offered to let me pick some pieces that I liked (could afford) and I jumped on the chance. Here are some cell phone pictures of his collection including some fabulous Lemonade Sets. Enjoy
Iwish I had been there AAAAAAA :-(

Wow
What a fun experience... So awesome. What did you get?
and were have you been?
I purchased 7 items that I could afford. This Dealer does not have a shop and only started doing small shows a few months ago. I drooled over the lemonade sets(3) but they were too expensive for me. He had put a price on everything but stated,"don't look at the prices, pick things you like and we'll deal". I chose some of the mushroom candlesticks, a pointed star shade in red spatter, a large red, black and green "Bambus" vase with clear handles, a slender Kralik spatter vase on clear tall legs that were stamped czechos slovakia on the feet, a tall spatter vase shown in second photo (second from left) and a few others. I almost purchased the lamp base but figured that I'd have a hard time finding a shade for it. Will post them next week when I get back home. RER(BOB)
Look forward to see what comes out of all this !!!!!
Thanks vetraio50! I wish that I could have picked up everything but i wouln't have had the space to bring it back to Canada. I wish I could have given his co-ordinates to all my collectors weekly friends but that would be unwise. He doesn't have an email address nor a computer. He intends on continuing selling at shows in or near Miami. BOB
Merci paris1925! I also picked up a few 1898 Legras Vases that I will photograph with the items I picked from the choice lot above and will upload them here when I get back to Canada. Robert
Canuck-land will never be the same with those Great pieces, EH ??
It'll still be -20 degrees unfortunately..???? Bob
Love it all. I am sure you did too! Are you doing introductions? :-)
CAN YOU TURN THESE STUNNERS THE RIGHT UP?
I took the pictures with my Cell Phone......I don't know why three of them uploaded sideways since I didn't photograph them that way. Anyone know how to correct this/ BOB

Hi LOUMANAL, what a fabulous collection he had, how could you choose!! I think I'd still be in there :)
Thank you everyone for the comments and loves. When I met him at the show, his prices were quite reasonable. When I made arrangements to see all his other bohemian glass at his home, I think he had someone come over and pre-price everything before I got there. You can see the stickers on the individual items. One of the Lemonade sets was 1200US but it included two sets of glasses. I did purchase at least 7 items so the price was about half of what he was asking. RER
Talk bout OCD ! Where do they eat ? Or is that just a shop.
Luv the roller coaster pic.
LOL , Actually we had made arrangements to meet that day so he had taken out all the Czech glass he had accumulated and laid it out on his kitchen table for me to choose. I was like a kid in a Candy Store expect I only had pennies to buy the candy. Thanks Lambda55 and everyone for the love. BOB
This is the first time that I have ever seen a lidded piece complete in the "robin-egg" blue with red spatter or blotches. I do collect this color combination.
Was this one of your purchases? Cool stuff. Love the yellow threaded piece too. Thanks for showing,
Hello Belmont! No it was not one of my picks, I purchased the liddless tall footed slender spatter one to the right of the robin-egg one. It was a great adventure to see all this accumulation at the time. RER
Thanks for the update. I have two of these pieces but without the lids; your posting is the first proof that a lid existed and not a flower frog. I'm still on the hunt though for this is a color pattern that I truly admire and try to expand on. Please if you would, keep a look out for me.
Thanks for your time.
In Czech,
Russ
The piece that you chose is a nice one, if I am correct in understanding your direction. I believe it to be the piece with the clear rocketed feet. Is this correct? I love the rocketed footed pieces better than the, what I call "webbed" type footed pieces. I'm not sure why I feel as I do, they just don't trigger the same attraction as the rocketed style.
There is another robin-egg vase in the front of one of the horde photos....you probably saw it. You can see the pocket vase with clear feet photographed and described separately in one of my CW uploads two years ago. Bob
Yes, in fact I have two of them along with two of the candied dishes without the lids. Unfortunately. I truly love this pattern and color combination; it is quite masculine yet pretty at the same time. I'm puzzled that this collection does not seem to be so popular. I currently have only three different pieces in this pattern and searching for more. I have over 500 pieces of Czech with 90% of it packed away in storage since the threat of the hurricane in Florida back in November. And I am not a good showoff at this time to list my stuff on CW, or just lazy. I want to do it right I guess, eventually I will.
