    We bought this sculpted head of Chief Joseph, Chief of the Nez Perce tribe at the swap meet. The head is signed Olin Warner 1886, then mentions "copy Y. Lewis Sc. or something like that along the bottom

    We'd like to learn more about this item, if anyone is familiar. Please help!

      So it is a copy of the Olin Warner Sc. portrait of Joseph, Hin-Mah-Too-Yah-Lat-Kekht.

      The Sc. behind his name is short for sculptor, I think.
