Amazing find on the footpath during a council kerbside clean up scrounge.
I was wondering recently if I would ever come across one of these post-war rarities to ad to my Australian tool collection and 'blow me down' if I don't find one on my late afternoon walk.
It's pressed metal as opposed to being cast steel.
Patent # 9081-4.
Only a small trace of the original red paint on the bade cap.
When I get a chance it might become a bit cleaner!
