One still exists down near the museum and former Masonic Temple, on the wall it's been on for many years.

Grab it SB ! Politicians (especially Washington) made fortunes backing bomb shelter schemes etc. . While we were ducking our heads under our school desks, as if that would save us, others were counting their profits. Probably in safe locals !LOL!!
    7. ho2cultcha ho2cultcha, 9 years ago
i've been searching for one of these for a long time!
    8. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 9 years ago
See, SB. You already have a market ! LOL!

It's not my building, though. It's currently unoccupied.

I have no clew how to obtain it without being a thief, which I'm not (save for what's buried in the ground!)
    10. SpiritBear, 9 years ago
I remember it giving capacity and I think direction as to where in the building.
    11. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 9 years ago
Well, ask ! If you can't find who to ask, consider it buried above ground. Not exactly what anybody but us, would consider as a treasure & you will be saving a part of history. Ask the police ! (I have noticed that Americans are afraid of the police). There probably isn't a law against asking . (Yet!). Bon chance !!

There are many signs I'd have taken over the years off walls of abandoned areas had I not considered it theft. That the building is in the middle of downtown means it's likely owned. So that would surely be stealing. Stealing is against what God has told me, and what the law has told me-- and the only laws I've broken are trespassing and speeding.
I live right by the Police and last visited them to return some cards I found from what looked like the dumping from a theft. It's the day I found the wacky plastic insulator.
As for asking, I will look into the matter and take pics next I go down so far. Otherwise, it's gonna stay up there as it's not mine to take.

Bottlesjw, the hysteria started at least a decade before the Cuban "Crisis". I probably still have scars on my head from ducking under school desks in the early-mid 50's. By the time of the Cuban thing, we joked about ducking to kiss our arses goodbye. I was lucky enough to work out a deal with the girl in front of me.

I repeat SB, ask 1st. OH! Don't ask me for bail ! LMAO !!!
    15. SpiritBear, 9 years ago
I won't have to ask you. Just send me a $500 money-order, and we'll call it good. :)
    16. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 9 years ago
"Money Order is in the mail "! LOL!! We don't have money orders (as you know them) here ! Will a Dutch or French check do? Of course you will have to sit in jail for about 3 months while the check clears. LOL!
    17. SpiritBear, 9 years ago
Well, Canada is much French. Would it work if I endorse it to my friend there to send me a M.O. to here?
      It'd only be 2 weeks!
