Two days ago after a hard day of work we go to Dorita’s shop to clean the RAM of my mind, to get disconnect. I was getting inside when she told me “you do not know what I got for you for only 10 U$” haring in hand this beauty. She knows my taste and it was impossible not to buy it. I is 16 cm tall 6.5 cm foot diameter and top diameter is 3.5 cm. It is so classic, with the baluster shape and the faint greenish tint of the ribbed body and the rigaree with flecks of gold foil inside. You know for me it is like Sergio a handsome man with wonderful dark eyes and hair: irresistible. I said at last “a real Murano glass” and she said yes It was taken here by the late owner grandmother about 1890. The vase would be described as Salviati on the web though for that time Barovier & Toso had bought the Salviati industry (uficina in italian) No other words are necessary.

    Salviati e. Co. (1877 - 1896)[edit]
Salviati, along with master glassmakers Antonio Seguso and Giovanni Barovier, was forced out of CVM in 1877 by his British partners who felt that he had received too much personal credit for its success.[5] The trio consequently formed Salviati e. Co for making mosaics and Salviati dott. Antonio for manufacturing other artistic glass.[2] In 1883, Salviati gave his businesses over to the Baroviers and they continued to operate under his name until 1896, six years after his death
