found this in a collection of photographs from the city of Mayaguez, island of Puerto Rico; Envelope is dated May 17 1915.
translation of copy on envelope:
"The Owner of the Car Says: "I like Firestone Tires and Rims because they increase pleasure and economy"
in 1915, there were probably 5 cars owned in the entire city of Mayaguez, but there were several garages servicing cars who came through the city from all over the island. And there was a Firestone Tire dealer.
Another advertisement claimed "we can machine any automotive part overnight and you can spend the night at the Paris Hotel in the center of town, at our expense, while we repair your fine machine".
just cool very very cool!!
