Can any body tell me anything about this

I know this is a rocking chairr but that is about it? I'd love to know more about it. The nuts on the underside are square so I'm presuming it has some age. It's very heavy and a lovely talking point. If like to know more about it's history ie is it something that would belong in a manor house or hospital or ????
