That's what the r stands for?
I was doing research on old Rosenthal and I thought they always had there full name on the logo not just the letter R? I could be mistaken tho!
      Thanks

I just went to the link you posted and checked each item but unfortunately none of them look the same.

      Really ?!?
Thanks for the help guys! It's strange I can't find that set anywhere else online to confirm?
Is it a deal at 500$? Someone is selling it locally.
      Thanks

Well if it's counterfeit then it isn't a deal; if you can't tell if it's real or fake, I would recommend that you pass on this offer.

I am quite certain it is not counterfeit..as for the link you posted can you please tell me what that was supposed to show?
      Thanks again!

The only reason I think it may be not versace is because I can't find an identical one online..
If it were counterfeit im sure it would be easily findable online.

The only sites I find with similar style always has Mandarin characters in the ads...

      Thanks again.

That last link was products made in China, and most likely not authorized by Versace. I don’t know much about Versace’s porcelain products, but know Rosenthal is German, is well marked, plus the pieces have more contemporary shapes than your pieces, especially the coffee pots. They should also have the country of origin on the stamp

Here’s a link to an eBay buying guide, which shows you what the authentic back stamp should look like

I hope you haven’t purchased the set yet, looks like a counterfeit from China

DON'T BUY THIS SET!!!!! Without knowing if it is real or fake, you may spend a lot of money on a fake. Does the owner have a certificate of authenticity or something similar? If so, they should produce it easily. If you are going to buy higher priced glassware, always double check the owners description of the item against something you know that is right. $500 seems a bit steep for a set that may be fake.

I appreciate your help but was hoping for something a little more solid...

The mark on the base is wrong.
The body shape on the pieces is wrong. Versace styles were mor contemporary
You haven't seen the same pattern & shape anywhere else except...
The only link with similar pieces was a company in China who say they xan put any logo on their porcelain Hmm!
If these aren't ALL red flags, I don't know what to say!
