I have had this item for several years. I picked it up at a garage sale for cheap. It has a spring "plunger" action. Barrel swivels on tripod base. I am told it appears to be made to look like a water cooled machine gun of WW1 era. It has a sticker that has an eagle and NRA.
Well...I don't know what this thing is, but the NRA sticker isn't the gun related organization of today. This NRA signifies the National Recovery Administration, that Roosevelt set up to control prices and create industry fair practices in 1933. The Supreme Court struck it down as unconstitutional in 1935 - so at least that helps to date this whatchamacallit.
