I have never collected glass. A couple days ago I was shopping at a local thrift store and came across two bowls that just stood out from all the other glass. I bought them both and then decided to try to find out what they are on the internet and came across this website. From my limited knowledge. I think both are Murano Glass in the bullicanti style. This one is a gorgeous purple with bubbles through out. The pedestal has gold flecks in it. This appears to be hand blown as I can see the pontil mark on the bottom, but the bottom has been polished smooth. The glass overall is very smooth and heavy. The bowl stands about 3 inches high and about 4 1/2 inches rim to rim. Do you think they are Murano glass and if so is there a way to determine the maker. No marks are on the bowls. I will post the second bowl as well. Thank you for looking and providing any information you can give me.
