Utah Oil Refining Company

When we first displayed our first Utah Oil Refining Company sign on another building we only knew of one other sign like it in Utah. Not a long time later we found a nice lady in a neighboring town who had found two halves of other signs being used to repair fence holes and brought them home and stored them in her barn attic. Unfortunately they were both the first halves. As luck would have it we had seen another Utah Collector that had sold us a gas pump who had the second half of the Utah Oil sign so we immediately began negotiating the price on all of the sign pieces. This is the combination of two halves we put together. That still leaves us with another front half of a sign and we are still looking for the back half. Of course we are also looking for the "Clair" halves for two Sinclair strip signs as well. And then there is that Union "cookies" sign that lacks the other half. Oh well? That's life and we will be as patient as we can be. We did see a recent ad for a fourth Utah Oil Refining Company sign in a recent classified ad but it was too pricy for us Country guys. Isn't sign collecting fun? You never know what will appear next or what it will be.
