There are two sets of books here - one is a five volume set and the other is a two volume set. The writing, I think, is Mandarin and I am thinking they could be religious books. Possibly, reprints of an older manuscript as the books themselves look new, yet the writing could be older.

If anyone knows Mandarin and could tell me the title, author and approximate year it would be appreciated.

First: Yushan shenggao, by Xiong Kaiyuan, 17th c. literary figure. The book literally means The Leftover Drafts of Fish Mountain (Xiong's penname). Published in the 1985 or 6 by Shanghai guxi chubanshe.

Second: Xinding Sanlitu, published in 1984 (or at least the preface was written then) by Shanghai guji chubanshe :http://www.chinaknowledge.de/Literature/Classics/sanlitu.html
