When I found this vase while Antiquing in S.Florida, I thought of member racer4four (Karen) who specializes in Japanese glass vases, especially spatter glass. Since it was acid-etched stamped with "Made in Japan" and has substantial natural wear to the under-base, I feel that it probably dates pre-ww2. The blue and white with orange pastels spatter is encased within a white inner layer and clear outer layer. It measures 8 1/4" tall by 3 1/2" and has a slightly concave under-base. The colours are more subdued compared to Czechoslovakian spatter. I hope that Karen can enlighten-us on her thoughts on this special vase. CW does not have a Sub-Category on early vintage Japanese Glass.

As an FYI, CW is now putting Japanese art glass in the "Art Glass > Japanese Antiques" category. They moved some of my glass there, so I've just started putting new pieces there by default. Most of what I am collecting is about 40 years old or older....

Thanks kwqd....I wonder if they will relocate it there themselves, they often do. Bob
