Cute little antique mantel clock with Laporte Hubbell movement. Notice the delicate legs and the ornament on top. The case body appears to be nickel plated brass, with a greenish-black antique finish. The back of the case is wood, the dial is paper on a brass pan, and there is a flat glass lens over the dial and hands.
The movement is labeled:

* Height: 6 3/8 inches
* Width: 4 1/4 inches
* Dial minute track diameter: 2 1/4 inches
* Dial type: Paper with Roman numerals

Laporte Hubbell specialized in making clock movements in Bristol, Connecticut for many years. He sold most of his movements to other makers, who marketed the complete clocks.
