Hi, I picked this up at an estate sale for cheap. I can't seem to find another one like it. It's very beautiful. There is no stamp for manufacture. The lamp post and base has been refurbished and painted in its original color. But the parts and lamp shade are all original. There are no markings on who the maker was. Any ideas? The lamp is a torchiere floor lamp. The base is either pewter or cast iron. The piece the lamp sets in is also pewter or cast iron. The Marble is set in the base it is a rose colored marble. The lamp is approximately 55 inches tall.

Thanks . There are no marks on the bottom. We searched everywhere and there are no marks anywhere. I found it at an estate sale in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia

Thanks... what style do you think it is (e.g. Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Victorian. It's such a beautiful lamp. I am in love with it. lol

His thanks. I will look into Victorian Revival never heard of that. There were all these antiques and vintage items at this estate sale and they were just trying to get rid of everything. Believe it or not I paid 30.00 u.s. for it. Everything was going for cheap. I think it was hard to drive to so they didn't get much business and just wanted to get rid of everything.

All the ones I have found were in Canada and made by Canadian companies in the early to mid forties. Later in the early 50's they used a poured molten glass mix or slag glass to get the colours in the bottom glass pieces. I think this one is marble so a bit earlier than the fifties. I would think early 40's. They were designing other styles in the 20's to 30's. The torchiere really came into its own in the 40's. It is possible it is from the U.S. also, but I would have to see the column which the poster does not show.
