Just got this at an estate sale, and I LOVE it. Small hand turned and absolutely precious. Could not find any information on this person, and the family did not know. Just love the color and the scale. Stunning!!!!! Signed Morren 87

This is what is called Horse Hair PotteRyan and it's quite valuable but is not necessarily Native American. The process is to take the hand formed pot after it's bisque firing and coat the pot with a clay based qlaze. When that dries the surface is burnished with a stone or plastic bag. It is fired in a kiln and taken out at the top temp. Then horse hair is placed on the pot. Those are the brown/black squiggles.
This kind of pottery can be fired with Raku Potter. Hope this helps.
