Once again for the up-teenth time, detail is small precious metal jewelry pieces fascinate me. The way the amethyst & the little diamond are mounted and the overall quality of the construction gets me every time. "Hats off" to these skilled jewelry makers. IMO they had to have had very tiny hands & fingers. This is another piece from a collection of a "little ol lady" who collected these type charms/pendants for years back in the 40's, 50's & 60's. I'm not going to share all of these. Just a few.

      Hi bahamaboy,
This piece is very beautiful,I added it to my collection of loves.Looks like you had a busy day with all of your the new additions to the site.
Thanks so much for loving my clock,I really don't have too much in furnishings but I have tons of other things.I was on a binge at one time and bought all of these beautiful vintage linens that have embroidery and crochet, then I went on a spree buying vintage quilt tops with the long range plan to quilt them by hand sewing.Well I have tried it and it is not as simple as you would think,I abondoned that plan rather quickly. They are now stashed away taking up space until the value goes up again.
Not to change the subject but spending winter in the Bahamas sounds lovely,I was there once when we went on a cruise and the beaches were so awesome. They had these other types of beaches too but we did not go there LOL.
BTW if you like this type of site, you may like Iantiqueonline. It's kind of like this one and there are a lot of collectors there also.
Have a wonderful fun evening, keep in touch

Hi Dottie, Well, since I know your 1st name, (it is your 1st name isn't it) you may as well call me by my 1st name, which is Kerry. Now with the formalities outta the way, I have seen some very nice patch work quilts lately and thought for a moment I may want to have one or two but then I thought, I have no wall space to display them and they were much too nice to put on the beds with a cat and my two boys every other weekend, so I passed on them. I have seen some on the antiques roadshow valued in the thousands of dollars. One of my customers had one folded in her garage sitting atop some cardboard boxes and I was going to ask her if it was something she would consider getting rid of, but I forgot. kinda glad i forgot because all that would have done would be to "create another monster". As if I don't collect too much already. I do have a bunch of lace and embroidered pieces which I think are called "doileys" and I remember my grandmother had one on just about every table she had. Some with a lamp on them, others with a vase or a clock etc. They are very ornate and very old but these things I collect are way past being outta hand. If I was to post just one example of all the different things I've collected and still have, I would have 500 items on here and not even have scratched the surface. People would take one quick glance and then go elsewhere I'm sure. It's overwhelming just trying to decide what to post and what to leave out. But anyway, on this little heart pendant, it's just one of many that I have and it, like most of the others, the detail, that which the photos don't show by the way, is incredible. How artwork like this is done with something so small is beyond me. But here I go rambling again. Thank you for that site you recommended but I'm kinda scared to go there because then I would want to share everything I have here at that site. I'm glad I work for myself and can devote several hours a day to all of this. If I had a real job, the word "overwhelming" would be the classic understatement. And yes the Bahamas are gorgeous. I hate I missed going this winter. I would just now be leaving from down there to come home or would have just gotten back had I gone. Don't know if you read the long story I wrote under the post of the Bahama car license plate. I think I have a tendency to go a little long but that's the way it goes. I'm gonna end this now because I could write another couple thousand words and still not be at a "cutting off" point. Take care Dottie. Kerry

Hi Kerry,It's so nice to meet you officially.Yes,Dottie is my name but my given name is Dorothy, all my life I was called Dot or Dottie by family and friends.Of course in school,I had to use the name Dorothy and took a lot of kidding like "wheres Toto?"
I was reading your story under your license plate and from the sound of it you have had a some real adventures,it was an entertaining story and I found my self laughing at your humorous style of writing, did you ever think about writing a book on your adventures?Anyway,I know what you mean about rambling on,it's so easy to get lost in the story and and not want to stop.I can ramble on also and still not say very much of value, unlike you LOL.I also find your collections wonderful and you are a wealth of knowledge on coins and fine jewelry.BTW the photo of your desk with your kitty,I have a kitty that looks just like yours and I call her Raven.I found her about a year ago in our basement laundry room,I live in an apt and she was hiding out there I guess to get out of the cold.I was able to coax her out of hiding with a can of tuna,it took a while, but she was starving and dirty and after checking around the neighborhood no one claimed her so now she lives here with me and she is such a wonderful girl. She also loves to live in the window and keep an eye on the birds outside.
You are probably right about the other site,it's so easy to spread yourself too thin but not so easy to keep up with everything.I have several venues and it's very time consuming to keep up with them because I still work full time but business is very good in the dental industry and I am thankful to have a job.We are owned by China and have 4 centers in the USA with 1 more center to be opened in TX very soon.
Well it was nice talking with you Kerry and I really enjoy the stories behind your treasures.I am a bit embarrased to have such a long post though.
      Dottie
