Ernest-Baptiste Léveillé is a relevant glass artist from France, somehow his works were not represented here yet so this post will change that. This is a very characteristic decor to his work - red, white and brown flakes in between two layers of glass and gilded enamel over that. This pair is a true pair, which is not that common to my knowledge because usually these come up as solitary pieces. They have beautiful Loetz grade ground and polished pontil marks, no signatures, they stand 22cm tall (just under 9in). I believe these were made somewhere in between 1860 and 1885.
