So which is it? American, Esso, or Standard fuel? As you all know, it was always Standard Oil that owned and refined the gas and they just changed the name from time to time. That concept seems dumb to us now as we all know the value of Branding, but marketing "pros" in other eras weren't on the same page with today. Imagine if McDonalds or Burger King changed their name every few years? Really? That is nuts!!! Live and learn, as we say. This cool old pump came from a collector friend up in Idaho and we luv that it has so many different choices on the same pump. It sits below the whole series of Standard signs beginning with Utoco and going thru Amoco and Chevron. Come visit us at aaaLakeside Storage in Provo, Ut or just ck us out online. Happy hunting! The Fun is in the Hunt!
