I love this Snowflake pin sighned by Trifari...it is a large pin so i just put it in a safe place instead of wearing it. It is 4/4 from tip to tip and is probably rhodium or platinum.

Fabulous. My favourite colour for brooches. How big is it?
    2. Cindy, 14 years ago
Hi Milli, i'm glad you like my brooch. It measures about 4 inches tip to tip. I would never wear it but it is beautiful and has TRIFARI on the back. Just one of my pieces I have in my collection of vintage jewelery. This is the only signed Trifari piece I have but some of my collection isn't marked, unless I just can't find the marks. I just have too many brooches and pins to mention. If your interested let me know. Good talking to you and hope you have a great day.

4 inches?? Wow. Do you have a website? On RL perhaps..?

      Hi Cindy,
I sent you a response to your comment on my Trifari Moghul horse brooch and I registered that I like your Trifari snowflake brooch. My comments to you seem to be going to MsDowAntiques, as this comment may also be sent to the incorrect person. Will either one of you try to correct this with Collector's Weekly. Thanks so much to you both for commenting on the items from my collection. Marie

Fabulous brooch - but PLEASE wear it! It's there to be admired and enjoyed - you would be surprised at how many people will talk to you when they see it.
    9. cindy, 14 years ago
Dear Imelda5000, thank you for your comment, I don't wear it though because one of the stones fell out and I'm affraid I will loose another. But It's beautiful and still shines like a star. It's a little heavy and too big for me to wear. I will be selling all my jewelery soon anyways...have a good day.

Dear Cindy - I see your point! I have a similar unsigned snowflake brooch in pink and purple AB stones, I lent it to a friend and she lost a stone much to my horror.

But a tip she gave me is to put a piece of felt material or some other heavy material beneath the area of clothing where you are going to wear the pin and this will provide a sturdier framework for any heavy pins

let me know when you are going to be selling this!

      with best wishes

A jeweler can identify the metal, but the stones, if you aren't sure, have them evaluated by a Gemologist. They are much more accurate. Hope this is helpful.

Have you thought about getting a pendant bail put on it and wearing it as a necklace? You can even find them at Hobby Lobby or Michael's craft stores in the jewelry making department. It would be especially pretty in the winter time...beautiful! That's what I do with a lot of my vintage pins...

Dear glonej, thanks for the idea. I do think its a little to big to be wearing as a necklace, for myself anyways. I am looking to sell whatever I can a.s.a.p. I'm sure someone else will appreciate it. It's just to big for my taste to be wearing.Have a good day and hope you had a good Thanksgiving.Happy Holidays.
