This is a lamp and shade the collector has owned for the past 40 years. This has been in a box and storage for all that time. Hence my rescue of this lovely piece. I have a love for dragonflies and this is one lamp I fell in love with. This is on borrow to keep? I was wondering if anyone had any information as to the maker of the shade or base? Both are beautiful together. I believe that the base is cast iron with marble. Thanks for looking

I believe your piece maybe from the 1920s or 1930s. Beautiful!

A lovely lamp and shade I would take off the shade and inspect the metal frame work for a manufacturers mark and or stamp the base should as well be marked on early produced pieces.
These of course as mentioned were first produced in the late 20's and 30's but there have been many second and third production runs by some of the best manufacturers .
And we're as well reproduced in large numbers in the 1960's or 1970's if I recall correctly regardless of that fact the quality looks good and I think it stands a chance of being an early piece
