I don't know anything about this parlor lamp, except that it is beautiful.
It is electric and has two bulbs, one on top and one on the bottom.
The shade has a signature but I'm not sure what it says, maybe "Myers".
The crystals are glass. The lamp is about two feet tall.

Do, are you saying 1970's or 1870's?
And do you believe this was an Oil lamp that has been electrified? It does have a oil lamp chimney on it.

Thank you so very much for the information. It turns out my friend has a table lamp like my hanging lamp and hers had a date of 1972. I have found table lamps on line, but no hanging lamps like mine. It is truly beautiful hanging in the same room next to my Monarch wood cook stove that was made in 1900. I also have a Kitchen Queen from 1920 in my dining room. The antique style of the lamp fits nicely with my true antiques.

Is there a knob that looks like it would turn and raise a kerosene wick? The reason I ask, is because there is a man out of California who made reproduction Victorian lamps similar to these. Some of his lamps are signed on the wick knob with the words "John Scott." Also on the knob, there may be a "London" or "England." He was active from the late 1950's to the 1980's (I think).

John Scott used lamp parts he could buy from BP Lamp Supply and made many Victorian-style lamps. There is debate as to if these are reproductions or works of art? However, his lamps are quite collectable now.
