Hello! I just want to show my latest buy - another bead necklace! I love the color of this necklace. Believe it´s a vintage necklace that has been restrung. The beads have a wonderful brownish wine color, like burgundy. I belive the beads are bakelite but there are 3 beads on each side that are frosted/mat and I don´think those are. They look a bit odd but creates some sort of effect I guess. Have anyone seen matt beads before - can they be vintage or are those new?
The necklace is 27 cm long when closed so it´s about 10,6 inches closed and 21,3 inches when open. It has a beadclasp with a brass screw.
Yes, this is definitely a bakelite necklace. It is very beautiful and this colour is very much sought after. The matt beads may be galalith. Nice find!

Goes to show how little I know about Bakelite. I would have never said that it was Bakelite, and here you guys take one look and BAM!

Valentino! Yes I think it has been restrung and therefore I've been wondering if some alterations might have been made. Maybe the matt beads were added in order to make the necklace longer? But on the other hand the color match very well so who knows? I guess I just have to like it the way it is without knowing that. Yes thankyou, the color is wonderful :). I love wearing this necklace with white as it makes the color stand out even more.
