pinocchio
(1 item)
This wooden head was found on a beach in New Brunswick Canada. Specifically Black's Harbour New Brunswick.
A person found it and it gave her the creeps so she is giving it to me.
I am very curious to learn about its history. To me it looks like it was a Pinocchio head that lost his nose. I wonder if he was a puppet at some time.? The mouth doesn't move.
I have scoured the internet looking for images and history but I can't find a thing except that solid wooden sculptures were made in the later 1800's. I know he looks like he is in bad shape but I liked him the minute I saw him. He won't stay in a closet like the last owner. I'm putting him on display. Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you so much
It is a puppet head , Very cool
Because he was exposed to elements I think dating him 1910-1930's . Almost a take off of Punch from Punch and Judy pair . with missing nose hard to tell but he look like a clown to me .
Thank you for your input Manikin
