My recent collection of bookends- the horse and indian I see a lot of similiar ones on ebay and they are all a little different and various prices. I think these are nice and I wish I could read the sticker. The second set have a number stamped on the side. The third ones are geodes and are a pretty common example.
Thank you for the love--katherine and ahgcollect!!
The 1st 2 are a variation of "End of The Trail", but I, of course luv #3 best. LOL!
Hi glasslove! Nice find. The first set is called "End of The Trail" and as you stated, there are many varieties, some with minute difference in detail. One similar set was made in 1927 by Gifthouse Inc. N.Y in Iron like these and measure 5 1/4". The second set is called "Dancer" and was made by the ART COLONY INDUSTRIES around 1929 in iron. This is a better set to find. The third set is as you stated contemporary. Keep up the great search! RER(BOB)
