I just purchased these very unusual cufflinks. They are stamped 835 , they test for silver and the initials M Z are stamped on the back. The image on the front appears to be of 2 aircraft pilots or I could be wrong .
Has anyone ever seen this image befor.
I would appreciate the help.
Kind regards
Bess
Super cool...
stunning!!!
I don't think they are pilots helmets as not sure but! wouldn't have thought they would a peak on the helmet... also the second one looks like the head bit might be hard...which leads me to be they might be motorbike helmets and maybe that second part of the cufflink is a club sign or similar...anyway just a thought!...very nice!!!....:-)
Thanks guys
Appreciate the help and commets
Inky, you were almost home.....
935 grade silver. Mototcyclists definitely, and the clincher is the symbol on the clasp, which is that of the former East German motor-cycle manufacturer, MZ. Now closed.

oops, enlarged image 4, looks like 835 to me, too, and a normal German silver assay standard, of the period.
Thank you verretcheque
I had put this away and forgotten about them
I'll look into the German silver part.
Thanx again
