Cool Looking, have no idea who made it

I do not have much history about these - I believe they are candle holders. I just purchased them from a thrift store. They are pretty cool looking and each holder detaches into 4 pieces. They are pretty heavy- I think they are made of brass. I just want to know the name maker of these candlestick holders as I see no engraving or markings on either holder (aside from the gold trim). Any thoughts?
