Most old people agree with me that the fun is in the Hunt and finding cool things is a thrill for us old geezers. Of course my wife says we need to be downsizing and not buying more stuff for our kids to have to get rid of when we die. I'm really not planning my funeral just yet and I love the hunt! I happen to find this cool old coffee bean dispenser on Craigslist in Hawaii where we are vacationing. Yep! Couldn't resist! I do hate it when people advertise on Craigslist and don't give a phone number or price or anyway to contact them? I emailed her through Craigslist and she tells me the price is $40. I write her back and ask her to call me which she doesn't do? I am going nuts so write her again and she tells me she already has a buyer? I can see that it is actually not sold yet but she has some sort of agreement. I cant resist and keep emailing her telling her she needs to sell it to me. She finally answers me and asks me if I will pay her more for it. I offer her $45 and she wants $50. We are doing all this haggling by Craigslist emails!!!! She finally calls me and says OK at $45 and that she is in a hurry and will meet me to speed things up. She drives all the way around the Island from the West shore to the East shore and meets me and we make the deal! She spent $10 for gas but didn't calculate that part! She is from Hungry and lives in Hawaii now and married to a local guy. What a thrill! The fun really is in the hunt! Keep on hunting!
Super find !! I say:
"You go Geezer!! We only live once!!"
lol
Good story & see it all the time. People win a tad in a local lottery & brag about it. They never consider the fact that all those tickets they bought over the years was maybe 1 1/2 - 10 times what they "won". Guess people are just shortsighted by nature! LOL!
