I purchased this necklace at auction this weekend. Many of the items that they were selling were Hopi or labeled as Hopi. This necklace has no markings that I can find, but it heavy Each chain connected to the back is 12" long and the top of the pendant if that is what you would all call it is about 3" wide at the top and then tapered down. Has anyone see this before. I believe the image is supposed to represent Mongwa The Great Horned Owl.
Fantastic enamel graphic!
Yes it is beautiful, are you sure it is enamel?

The auction house states that it is nlaid mother of pearl, onyx, turquoise, and polished red coral
It was a guess from a jewelry ignoramus derBayz!
LOL, I know a little something about Native American Jewelry, but I am with you Racer4Four, I think I qualify as an ignoramus!
