Dug this button this weekend along with a civil war button. As far as I can tell it seems to be an old railroad button but I have yet to find any info about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I dug up a similar looking button years ago while metal detecting in northern Indiana. It has the letters GR on it. Have not had any luck at this point identifying it.
