A Shillelagh is a club or walking stick that has a large knob at the end and has an Irish theme. Thus this is a Shillelagh. I bought this in the late 70s so it is at least as old as that. There used to be an earing in the right ear but it disappeared long ago.
A day late for Saint Patrick's Day but close enough I think.
Reminds me of a film called Sinbad the sailor .....
especially if it had an earring ...
AAARRRRRR!!! could be an irish pirate !! Lol
I've never seen one of these before! Only heard about them. Nice one!!!!

Thank you vetraio50.
It was a pleasure fortapache you have a good day.
I love it. My dad carved his out of hickory and it was always beside what ever chair he was sitting in. He saw it as a defensive instrument, a walking aid and an educational aid if you didn't listen to him. He always said he didn't believe in hitting a dumb animal but you gotta get their attention.
Thank you very much fhjr2. Thank you also for the story.
Thank you pw-collector.
